This policy explains what personal data SAFE SPACES BY MADHURI (“we”, “us”) collects through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal data in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

What we collect

Account details: your name, email address, mobile number and nature of work. Your password is stored only in hashed form, which cannot be turned back into your password.
Purchases: the course you bought, the amount, the payment status and the payment gateway’s payment references. Card, UPI and bank details are entered with the payment gateway and never reach us.
Learning records: the lessons you watch and where you stopped, your assessment attempts and answers, and the certificates issued to you.
Enquiries: what you send in a training enquiry: name, email, phone, organisation, team size, preferred format, location and notes.
Technical and security data: IP address, browser details, records of security-related actions such as sign-ins, and error reports when something goes wrong.

How we use it

to create and run your account, and give you access to the courses you buy;
to process and verify payments;
to save your progress, so you can carry on where you left off;
to issue certificates and let others verify them;
to email you about your account and purchases: confirming your email, password resets, payment receipts, certificates and reminders before your access ends;
to reply to enquiries;
to keep the website secure and prevent fraud and misuse;
to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.

Certificate verification

Every certificate has a unique ID and its own verification link. Anyone who has the link can see the holder’s name, the course and the issue date. This is how employers and others confirm that a certificate is genuine.

Who we share it with

Only with the service providers that help us run the website, and only what each one needs:

our payment gateway: payments;
Vimeo: hosting and playing course videos;
Resend: sending emails;
Sentry: error monitoring;
Arcjet: protection against bots and misuse;
our hosting and database providers.

Some of these providers may process data outside India. We may also share data when the law requires it, for example with a court or a government authority.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to sign you in and keep your session secure. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and course videos play with Vimeo’s do-not-track setting on.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data while your account is active and for as long as we need it for the purposes above. Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require, and certificate records are kept so certificates can still be verified. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

How we protect it

The website is served over encrypted HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and only authorised administrators can see learner records.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
correct, complete or update it;
delete it, except what we must keep by law;
stop using it where you gave consent, though this may mean we can no longer provide the course;
accept a person you nominate to use these rights for you if you die or become unable to.

To use any of these rights, or to raise a complaint, contact our grievance officer below. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

Our courses are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the current version, and important changes will be posted on this page.
